The Sims Mobile – Is it Worth It?
The Sims Mobile is out, and folks are already downloading it. The Sims Mobile is a version of the popular PC game, The Sims. It is free to download and is basically just as good as the full version. However, is Sims Mobile worth playing? Is it worth spending money on? Let’s pop into that question.
It certainly seems like the long wait for an official release of the mobile game is going to be quite long. After getting bored with Freeplay, sims mobile players were hoping for a sims mobile version of classic games such as The Sims and Audience favorite The Sims Medieval. No release has yet come, but fans of the games are already looking forward to a release sometime in 2021. So is there really going to be a difference between the mobile and the traditional versions of these games?
Well, the answer is yes. The basic concept behind both the Sims Mobile and the classic Sims games has not changed, and that is to give the player the ability to create their own life simulation. This can be done by way of a variety of tools that will allow the player to modify many aspects of their life. Tools include jobs, careers, and educational opportunities, just to name a few.
Another way that the mobile game can differ from the classic version is that you don’t have to continue on a single path. Rather, the game lets you progress through the core loop of activities given to you, giving you a free hand to decide how you want to proceed. You can keep exploring new areas, and add more content as you see fit. Progressing through the core loop allows players to experience the world the way they see fits and provides them with tons of motivation to continue playing.
There are also differences between the mobile and the couch editions of The Sims. The base game has the same gameplay mechanics as the desktop version, but it is played on your phone. Naturally, this version lacks some of the exciting features of the full version. For example, most players will not find cell phone-based interaction very interesting, as the interface is much less user-friendly.
However, you do have the option of unlocking new aspects of your playing experience. This is done by playing through all the levels within the game. The earning system is the same as the full version, but because you are playing on cell phones, you are given the option to do multiple jobs at once, rather than doing them one at a time. There are also several other methods of earning rewards that make the game more fun. Unlocking your Sims Mobile profile lets players earn points which then go towards unlocking new traits for your character.
When it comes to the actual game itself, The Sims Mobile is a little below the mediocre. Despite lacking the same engaging graphics of its desktop version, it still manages to be quite fun to play. The game tasks you with building houses, adding on fences, adding on pools, and improving your lot size. It’s really simple to pick up, and players can complete the various jobs in a reasonable amount of time. It certainly is worth playing, and The Sims Mobile is definitely one of the best simulators available right now.
It does have the potential to grow and become quite addictive, but the focus on the game is excellent. The mobile version allows for greater levels of interaction between players, meaning that players are constantly having something to do and that they are constantly being challenged by something in the game. With a focus on creating a realistic and challenging environment, the game becomes more fun with each level, and The Sims Mobile is well worth playing.
