This group, alongside several North Korean agents, are believed to be behind a number of attacks on shipping facilities in the Pacific region. If these attacks are carried out, North Korea will be forced to withdraw from the Korean Peninsula, causing a severe loss of their military strength. With this in mind, the US military is preparing for a counter strike against Overwatch and one of their initial objectives is to get into a direct combat encounter with a Valorant armored tank. Once inside the tank, players must make every shot count, as the Overwatch soldiers will be able to fire a number of high-powered rounds, called Frag Grenades, at the player’s tanks.
Unlike other first person shooters, in Valorant there is no HUD elements to read, as everything is done with a top-down perspective. This can be both a good and bad thing, as it means that there is no way to tell if you are shooting at a target that has a red dot on their screen, but it also means that you can’t look around to see where your target is located in order to take out their weaknesses. This can cause some frustrating moments, especially when playing a sniper role, as the player must hit their targets from a distance in order to take them down. In the closed beta, however, the developers made sure that this was one of the few cases in which the anti-cheat had any impact, as all types of gameplay were done entirely through mouse movements.
